Even when I have no song, I’ll praise Him.

I just heard a song with this phrase, and I thought, wow! How many of us find ourselves amid difficulties and so down we have no song in our hearts? Do we look to the Lord and praise Him for who He is in our lives, do we praise Him for walking with us every day of our lives, through good times, and challenging times?

God never leaves us or forsakes us. He never ignores our needs. He is always there for us.

So again, do you praise God even when you do not have a song in your heart? Is your joy the response to external things in your life, or is it internal? Our joy comes from the Lord, our joy ignites our praise to Him.

Nehemiah 8:10 reads, “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
