Sometimes our circumstances are our wake up call.
~ Lisa Blair

Let’s talk about the dark times. we have all experienced them. They are the times when life breaks down. You lose a loved one, you lose a job, your home, you lose hope or the desire to live. Have you ever been there? You work hard and are up for promotion only to be overlooked. Your co-workers have turned on you. Your friends let you down. Any and all of these circumstances are your wake up call.
I’m hear to tell you, today is the day to say ‘enough is enough’. You cannot change the world around you, but you can change yourself. You can change your perspective on life and who you are in this life. scripture says, No weapon formed against you can prosper. Isaiah 54:17. Challenges, darkness, fear, anxiety, depression cannot prosper if you are a child of the Lord. If God is for you, and He is sovereign, who can be against you? Revelation 22:13 describes God as the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. If you begin your change recommitting yourself to the Lord, who is our Savior, you have taken the first step in turning your life around.
You have to work to change your life, you cannot sit around, hoping and praying. You have to take action. To clarify, working will not get you to heaven. There is nothing you can do to enter heaven. It is God’s gift to you once you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior. HOWEVER, you must work to improve your life, to change your life, to become the person God created you to be despite the current prevailing circumstance.
The revelation is this — only you can take command of your life, but you’re not in it alone. The Holy Spirit will guide you, lead you, and instruct you if you develop a patterning of praying, meditating, communing with God.
Do not lean on your own understanding, that is what in most cases created the environment you are presently living through. Proverbs 3:5-6 declares: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all yiur ways submit to Him, and He will make your oaths straight.
Jesus was a busy man. He was attacked, reproached, and His energy was depleted. He was confronted with challenges by man and Satan, but He did not succumb to His circumstance. No, He found a quiet place to rest in prayer with the Lord, He is our archetype. Listen to your wake up call, cry out ‘enough is enough’ and pray to God for direction. Today, o matter what it looks like is the first day of your new life. Say it and came it in the Name of Jesus and it will be so..
1 Corinthians 15:57 — But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:13 — I can do all things through him who gives me strength.
Romans 8:1-2 — therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ, because through Jesus Christ the law of the Spirit who gives life and said you’re free for the law of sin and death.
1 Peter 2:9 — but you are a chosen people, royal priesthood, a holy nation, God special possession, that you made it clear the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 John 5:4 — For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is a victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Joshua 10:8 — The Lord said to Joshua, “do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.“
Ephesians 6:10-18 — Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Before I struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces it fell in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that was a day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you’ve done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with a belt of truth buckled around you’re a waste, with the breast plate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fit it with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all of the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all of the Lord’s people.
