LISTEN : Righteousness according to dictionaries is, “behaviour that is morally justifiable or right, which is characterized by accepted standards of morality, justice, virtue, or uprightness. However, there can be no perfect righteousness without the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in us. Those who believe in Jesus Christ have been forgiven of their sins and given the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17). What a privilege! Therefore, we should avoid sin and its consequences. Sin brings guilt and guilt torments the conscience. People are often weak and sick because their consciences have been corrupted by guilt from sin.
